About

Built by us.
For us.

Milo started in 2024 as a WhatsApp group of twelve friends in Mumbai who were tired of swiping. Today, we host queer-led events in seven Indian cities — and the group chat is still going.

Queer community gathering in a Bengaluru cafe

Our mission

To make it easier for queer people in India to find each other — beyond apps, beyond pride month, beyond the cities you'd expect. We believe the antidote to isolation isn't another algorithm. It's a long table, a hot meal, and people who get it.

Where we stand

We are queer, trans and non-binary affirming. We stand with the movements that came before us — from the NALSA judgement to the reading down of Section 377 — and the work still ahead. Allyship is welcome; centering is not.

Our values

Chosen family first

We design for friendship, not just hookups. Some of our most loved events have no romance prompt at all.

Consent is non-negotiable

Every event has hosts trained in active consent and de-escalation. Our code of conduct is enforced — quietly and quickly.

Pan-India, not just metro

We're growing into tier-2 cities thoughtfully, in partnership with local queer collectives.

Visible, but never reckless

We protect privacy by default. Event addresses are shared after RSVP. You decide what to share, and when.

The team

Milo is run by a tiny, full-queer team across Mumbai and Bengaluru, supported by a network of 40+ volunteer hosts in every chapter city. We're not a startup. We're a community that happens to have a website.
